| And just like that, it’s time for Folk Club! We will be meeting on TUESDAY this month, to allow for Auckland Folk Festival. Our special guests this month are Folk Festival International Guest Act BB & Alex. |

| BB Bowness (banjo) and Alex Rubin (guitar) have been making music together for the last decade and continue to bring their euphoric energy to stages around the world. Since first meeting in the vibrant Boston music scene, they have fused their love of bluegrass and traditional roots music into something fresh and unique. Combining their technical mastery with reverence for tradition, Alex & BB are not to be missed. |

| Speaking of the festival, Pipis will be there with the Pickin’ Parlour (our hospitality tent) this coming weekend. It will be right by the front entrance, you can’t miss it. Also, Whangateau Folk Club Showcase set is 4:00pm in the Barn on Saturday. We’ll be showing all the other Auckland clubs how outstanding our floor singers are! If you haven’t been to an Auckland Folk Festival, I highly recommend it. It’s a great festival. So much to see and do, great music. And the weather is looking mint for the weekend. It’s a short trip out to Kumeu. Come hang out with us! |
