28 August 2017, Monday: Club Night. Special guests: John Hayday and Vaughn Morgan. John and Vaughn will perform a full hour of thought-provoking, moving traditional story-songs accompanied by beautifully wrought guitar accompaniment. $10. 7pm.

10 August 2017, Thursday.  Full concert with John Egenes. Multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, saddlemaker, author, session musician for countless artists, and all around likeable guy, John stumbles through this life making mistake after mistake. 31 July 2017, Monday: Club Night, hosted by John Hayday. Special Guest: Chris Priestly and friends. New Zealand folk icon Chris Priestley’s folk career and influence span decades and has touched thousands and thousands of people. His albums “Unsung Heroes” and “Rogue” tell tales of figures from New Zealand History. 7pm start. $10.

26 June 2017, Monday: Club Night with special guests Conor and Swigger! The hosts of the excellent Thirsty Dog Folk Club on K’ Road are coming north of the bridge to amaze and delight you with songs and humour.  $10.  Floor singers first half, as per the usual!

6 May 2017, Saturday: Full concert from Will Day and Col Finley. Australian country stars Will Day and Col Finlay have laid down their amplifiers and are touring NZ as an acoustic duo. Supported by Leigh’s own Pipi Pickers. Show starts at 7:30pm. $10.

24 April 2017,  Second half guests: My Pennyworth from Tauranga. Featuring a range of styles, rhythms and instruments and a real variety of music they have been well received performing full concerts both here and overseas. The timbre keeps changing with our instruments varying from guitar, accordion, piano, bodhran, penny whistles and even sometimes bagpipes. Variety continues with a sprinkling of songs from our other act “The Wild Clovers” delivering a Celtic rock song or ballad. 7 April 2017, Friday: Double bill concert. Tweed and Miss Peach and the Travellin’ Bones. Two emerging young acts of the Auckland folk scene bring their beautiful and very different styles to Whangateau for a special double bill show. $10. Show starts 8pm

9 February 2017, Thursday: Tattletale Saints return! Full concert. 8pm.

January 30th, 2017, Monday: Club night. Special Guests: The Frank Burkitt Band. Frank Burkitt is well known for entertaining story-telling, tightly arranged songs and delicious harmony and a set list that contains blues, country, bluegrass, swing and some Scottish folk. It is good old fashioned original song-writing backed up by a band that understands perfectly how to add infectious rhythm and groove (Geluk’s bass), varied and skilled solo breaks (Burnell and Jackson on fiddle and mandolin) and endorphin-exploding harmonies (Filbey on backing vocals). $15.

14 December 2016, Wednesday: CLUB NIGHT AND CONCERT.
