‘The Lonesome Pine Specials’ is Hannah Harding, Flora Knight and Ben Woolley. As a trio they present songs and fiddle tunes gleaned from the valleys and mountains of old america. Rags, waltzes and fiddle tunes that would have been heard or danced to at square dances or in old dance halls, alongside stories influenced by the stylings of The Original Carter Family, the words laid out plainly in block harmony unadorned and pure. All coming from curiously differing musical upbringings and all weathered from touring with numerous country/folk acts to come out of Lyttelton over the last few years, The Lonesome Pine Specials come together for their debut and one off New Zealand tour.

They are joined by Australia’s own old-time sing-song man, Archer.
